Are in my opinion nothing more than speculation. The bottom line is Stendel was offered the job, terms were agreed and he was given a deadline to sign but he chose not to.It happens its not the end of the world and the club have all bases covered. Stendel was the choice but you can't drag him over from another country its not slave labour. If he chooses to stay with his club and family theres nobody who can alter that. Good luck to him in his future career.
Hmm I'd say that if he didn't sign the contract then the terms weren't agreed as he elected not to sign up to the proposed terms
You say ‘the club have all bases covered’, but it doesn’t really look that way to many. It’s been a month since they very rashly sacked a manager, and so far it appears they have failed to land 3 different candidates. If they end up going with Williamson, they will be going with someone with an even worse defensive record than the bloke they just sacked.
In my opinion, you deserve more wages than the entire BFC social media team and Dmitri Peskov combined.
I expect the reason he signed a new contract with Hannover is that he didn't want to relocate his family to the U.K. and he didn't want to be separated from them for the vast majority of the next 3 years. Why do I say this ? Because I've spent periods of several months working away ftom my wife and kids and it's not good for any normal family.
Rotherham sacked their manager and had a replacement in hours. Barnsley are ******* about as usual. It's the same every time there is no contingency planning we sack a manager and have no one lined up then spend weeks casting around for somebody willing to take on a job when they have little say in the running of the team, yet their future depends on the performances and results of that team. No wonder we are starting to end up with the 3rd or 4th candidate on the list every time. Just what have the new CEO and director of football been doing for the last Month??
Nothing to say Stendel just played his cards right on purpose to extend and better his new contract. Happens a lot! Maybe never had any intention!
All bases covered? This has got to be the least 'all bases covered' situation I have ever encountered. They sacked the manager with one game to go when we were in the play-offs, with the play-offs already secured as it turned out. The bloke they had lined up to replace him couldn't get a work permit. We were knocked out in the semi-final of the play-offs with no manager in place. They're offering the job to pretty much anyone they can think of and still getting turned down. We couldn't be further away from all bases covered if we tried. We're in the stand, upside down, drunk, eating hotdogs and asking if it's out turn to pitch or bat without even knowing what day it is.
A 3yr extension to staying in Germany may be the biggest reason to trump all others. Else he may have had no other offers on the table and come.
Baffled how we’ve got all bases covered. We’re now looking at our 5th choice for the job. The more we go through the less appealing the job becomes for anyone.
Thinks it shows our recruitment is no better with a new CEO and DOF. Failed at the first challenge. Can see why no faith in our ownership and management. Must be horrible being a club employee and watching this happen.
There may well be plenty of takers for the job, but NO Manager/Head Coach worth his salt is gonna come and work under this lot. It’s embarrassing really IMO.
