2s company 3s a crowd. Was my thinking
    Devaney winger come striker
    Stead Striker
    Conor midfielder ?

If Collins gets a Job. Stead may well follow him.

While Clarke mentioned Devaney in his interview he never actually referred to Stead.
I agree that if Collins gets another job I think he'll take Stead with him.

Depends where it is.. Stead left Florida before Collins got the job.. His family wanted to come back to Yorkshire. Unless Duff give him a job at Udders I can't see him going very far.

That's the impression I get. He was left off stuff that was filmed yesterday between Clarke and Devaney and Clarke mentioned working with Devaney but didn't mention Stead once.

No problem with Connor coming and improving his coaching skills with us in some capacity but let’s not let sentimentality cloud our judgement
He was great for us but he’s nothing like the player he was when he left 7 years ago

Derby fans were saying he was very poor during the second half of last season

This nonsense again. If he's nothing like the player who left us 7 years ago he wouldn't have just played 47 games last season and captained someone to promotion.

Folks are making it sound like we are sentimental for him after finishing mid table and playing 20 games.

My thoughts exactly. He'd be the steady, experience we lack in the team. Could get Connell further up the park too.

    :D

If he steadily leads us to promotion like he did Dorby, it'll do for me.

Even just being around the squad I would take.
He has class and ability and can be a **** house and in the refs ear. No one will expect him to be an ever present but just look what he could bring to our group of players. A leader.

I’d take a “slower, bags of experience and nous” Conor Hourihane with his set pieces, over a “Can’t pass a player, can’t beat the first man, can’t track back” Nicky Cadden or a “Can’t be arsed with Barnsley, I’m too good for all this ” Herbie Kane every day of the week.

Hourihane would be a good addition to our starting XI on merit. If he's available within our wage structure then it would be excellent recruitment.
