Luke Berry one of 14 released https://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2024/may/retained-released-2024/ Should have no issue finding a Championship club. He would be a better option for Derby than Herbie Kane.
Wash your mouth out. He's playing right wing in my current FIFA team and having a storming season. Then again, so are Leroy Lita and Kane Hemmings.
Strange player Berry. Seem to remember we signed him at the same time as Hourihane and Bailey and couldn’t make a midfield out of them, they just didn’t fit. Berry showed glimpses of ability but just seemed very lightweight and was probably overlooked in favour of Scowen. If he’s 30ish he’ll be off to Rovrum
Fletcher was a great player for us. Strange that in the 8 years since he left he’s done virtually nothing. Still only 28, be interesting where he ends up. Maybe one for somebody like Birmingham?
Berry was very underrated for us, but I'd imagine has improved no end. Can't see us signing 2 ageing midfield players though. If we played with proper wingers, I'd definitely take Fred Onyedinma though.
The wrestler Kane would be an improvement on Herbie Kane and these days he's a 57 year old Mayor with a broken down body from 3+ decades of punishment from his old day job.
Bring him home part two. Bartosz Bialkowski https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2024/may/18/millwall-confirm-2023-24-retained-list/ He's had a very good career at Millwank.
Bit busy at the moment. https://x.com/secondtierpod/status/1794391807746621454?t=mmg41ujfv62VBX0iY2yzYA&s=19
Great player Berry - have followed his career since he left us, and he played well in the PL for them. I saw him against Man City late in the season and he played well. He won’t come back here, but he’ll be a great signing for another Champ team. I also suspect a couple more players will be poached from Luton - Carlton Morris will likely go I’d say. Ideal at somewhere like Fulham etc
Morris would have fit in perfectly at West Ham under Moyes, now he's leaving I'm not sure. But he's certainly good enough for lower half premier league teams.
