Is this sponsorship deal a good one or not, ehh ?. Forget about the cretinous anti-Leeds comments, which are totally irrelevant. Especially if it's a good deal for our club!.
Don't they have like a £175m pound transfer debt to pay? Not going to do anything other then pay the balance on their existing players!
They have a lot of big earners loaned out and in their first team that they will have to move on. If they don't they will be in a very big pit of financial trouble. Looking at some figures I found regarding their annual player wages it totalled £36.5 million. Jack Harrison who they loaned out to Everton is on a reported £90k pw and signed a 4 year contract last year.
This is really going to pi$$ off the massives, who are convinced Red Bull are going to buy out Chansiri....
In late 2017 I was on a work trip in San Francisco. We have an American partner who always claims to be incredibly well connected. I mentioned to him that we had tickets for the 49ers and he said he knew the owner, which I took to be his normal bluster. Low and behold he called the day before the game to say that the owner would meet us, take us pitch-side and intro us to the team. In the end we got the 'President' instead who was second in command and watched the game with him. He kept talking to us about investing in rugby or soccer in Europe and how best to make money. Myself and my friend agreed that the best way in was to buy a big club fallen on hard times, then get them promoted to the Prem. Discussed this at length and my mate is a big Leeds fan so kept pushing them as an example. In Jan 18, the 49ers bought a stake in Leeds!
It's a big sponsor apparently, which will add 60 million to their transfer budgets. My mate seems to think so anyway. Add that with their parachute payments... He seems to think Summerville will be sold ( I do too) and possibly Gnonto as he refused to play at start of last season after relegation, so he may wanna leave again. He wouldn't be too fussed if Farke got the sack. Crazy money.
