Begins tonight. Yorks. v Worcestershire at Headingley. Peeved that the Championship has been put on hold for a month but looking forward to it. Let's hope weather plays ball....
I'm signing up on Saturday for a month of Willow TV to watch the T20 World Cup. They also show the T20 Blast, but not all the games, so I'll have to follow today on the ECB website.
Not really. I sent a link to two friends yesterday, so I've probably tripled the excitement. USA vs. Canada on Day 1, but I've not found it on terrestrial / cable TV yet.
Thanks Mate. I've just added it to my subscribed channels, so I'll be able to watch today. Also, I just checked the worldwide channels showing the T20 WC, and USA and Canada is only on Willow TV. As this is a subscription service of which many people are unaware, I see very few people knowing about this event, or watching it. It is a real shame that they did not push it more on a more popular sports channel, especially as the USA is hosting it, and last year they started their own T20 league and are in the process of building cricket grounds across the county. A missed opportunity indeed.
So far yes, so i imagine when the 50 overs games start they’ll be on. Just got the T20 on my telly now via you tube. Seen bits of the championship matches previously
You’re welcome. Got the Yorkshire v Worcestershire on now and it’s not raining. Could be a win….finally!
Great start. Wish I’d gone now but 40 miles on a cold night put me off. It was easy getting there from Harrogate but now I have to cross North Leeds so I decided not to. 15 for 3 wooofff!!
Hope x11 doesn't give us one of his famous predictions after that start from Yorkshire. Worcestershire 101 all out. Durham 49/7 after 9 against lancs.
Have to say I was one of lyths biggest critics last year. And thought he may not figure this. Glad he's proved me wrong. And is firing on all cylinders.
I was looking at his county stats the other day and they were really impressive. I can’t recall exact figures but he’s scored runs in all formats and particularly impressive was the number of centuries. A truly great servant to Yorkshire
Yes mate, I've noticed his county scores over the last few weeks. And he's been outstanding during a bang average season for yorks up to now. And then the 50+ not out tonight. Long may it continue. Leicestershire away tomorrow night.
Fantastic start, hopefully not a false dawn. Pace attack looks very weak if we play on a deck that suits it, with no overseas pace bowler and Coad and Fisher out.
In first class games for Yorkshire Lyth has played more matches batted in more innings scored more runs scored more 100s scored more 50s scored more double centuries hit more 4s hit more 6s than any other player to represent the county.
