I get why it’s called early bird mate, am not daft lol......all I was saying was why not maybe for a “one off “extend it to start of season.......end of day who is that hurting?.....no one in my book, perhaps you think folks should pay more eh?
I'm guessing they renewed. But decided not to sit anywhere near thi. Why are you so pessimistic all the time. Renewed cos collins was got shut of. Yet instead of optimism. Because I assume that's why you would renew. then go on to say what you have in your last couple of sentences. I'd expect that from someone who wants us to fail. And I believe some will always do, to back up their past comments. Not going till Conway and lee go. Then it's the strategy. which has been around for 10yrs plus. Then it's the present board not putting money into the club. I may be more on the optimist side. But I much prefer that. And if all goes tits up. A new day a new start. Lighten up a bit. Life is much more tolerable.
The equivalent figure for the season before, at a similar point in time, was 6,500. They'd only just announced the board changes at the time and were starting to get some renewals on the back of that news, prior to which many people, myself included, had refused to renew.
I meant that I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a lot not renewing had we kept him. I'm very optimistic for the new season actually. Can't wait. I continued to go while Conway and lee was here, I've defended the owners fairly regularly for putting their own money in. You tell me to lighten up but you went on a rant about me based on you misunderstanding a sentence that I wrote.
Having read it back several times re the response you made to the other poster. I apologise for the misunderstanding. I never go to ground. To ignore a post when I'm wrong. Re the other stuff it was a general point. Hence some. In the sense any excuse not to renew.
It would be hurting someone actually - the Club. Having an EB price until the start of the season isn't an EB. It's just a lower fixed price ST. Budget planning and thus recruitment, massively delayed. The irony is, the amount of fans who say 'I'm waiting to see if they sign x or y', when actually signing x or y is dependant on them renewing.
They are the worst imo. It's as though Hourianne will be the messiah. Yet there are players who come along relatively unknown who shine from day one. If Hourihane arrives I'll be chuffed, as I think he will add something to the team. But am under no illusions that he will be the player he was. Other thing I'm concerned about is that some appear to want him as a first team coach. Lots keep screaming for managers with experience. But disregard it when it's an ex player. Clarke will have his own ideas. And I think Conor could distract from that, if the fans are impatient and don't give him time.
I was talking as a ‘ONE OFF’ to try and attract people, it hurts the club more if people won’t buy a ticket at the full price, obviously you don’t agree with that. Loads of people are cutting cloth to suit these days, so maybe incentive to still buy tickets at cheaper rate would appeal more. I have already said I have got mine, and I have no problem with others getting it at the same rate. Would sooner 10 more at cheap rate than 2 or 3 at dear rate. What’s your problem with that?......club would benefit if my maths are correct. Or maybe you are just a stickler for the rules???
It's not that I'm a stickler for the rules, but you have to draw the line somewhere. The later you draw that line, the later you're leaving your planning. The problem with doing a 'one off' is that this time next year, people would be wanting them to do it again, and would get criticised heavily if they didn't. I'd put my house on it.
Whatever mate, I don’t see a problem with it at all. Who’s knows what will happen next year? nobody on here is mystic meg.
