Exactly this, I'll be chuffed to see a Barnsley player at the Euros. I really don't understand the stick he gets.

 

I think my issue is that I don't really see him as a Barnsley player. Much as I wouldn't mind seeing him back here, I think he's played his last game for us - just about whether we can make some money off him at this point.

 

If anything, styles at the Euros will net us a nice bit of UEFA solidarity payments. Hopefully he does us proud and earns the move he desperately wants.

I do hope he has a good Euros and someone comes in for him. Otherwise we'll be stuck with him moping around wanting a move like the last 2 seasons and we can't keep going around in circles like that.

 

Who knows where he'll be playing next season but it's got to be in everyone's interests for him to do well at the Euros and whatever happens I'll enjoy watching a Barnsley player in the tournament.

He was brilliant under Val at LWB. Its not happened for him in the middle of the park. I hope he does well for Hungary and for us.

Yeah, we should all be hoping he has a great euro tournament for Hungary, which could benefit us whether he goes or stays.

Totally agree and none of us know the true facts about what goes on behind the scenes, maybe it's the club that's touting him about for loans ?

 

Personally I'm not a massive fan of Styles but some of the comments on here are utterly bizarre. We should all be hoping he has a very good European Championships to put himself in the shop window for a move. I think with what's happened then it's best for all concerned that he moves on, however, the club need to ensure they maximise any transfer fee.

 

I think it's pretty obvious he wants out and the club want him to go. The club expected Millwall to sign him he signed a deal a new deal with us on higher wages with a release clause which Millwall didn't take up the offer. So now we have probably the highest earner who wants out and we want him gone as he's a big earner... bad situation really. Looked like a passenger in center midfield last season too.
