Apparently... his previous 7 attempts to be an MP don't count. 6 were when his party was just a protest group.... and the other one, the tories cheated.

And I could have sworn he stepped aside to let the tories win a majority at the last election... pity he'd banked on DePfeffel being an honest broker that would deliver the peerage he expected.

 

Starting to look existential for the conservatives. Fully deserved as well - can't wait.

 

I hope he doesn't get disproportionate press coverage.

and so the circus begins in earnest....

 

At this point, I'd very much hope that Labour, Lib Dem and Green parties would be grown up and come up with a slightly more structured arrangement that doesn't dilute the centre and left vote.

There's a huge opportunity to completely redraw the political landscape and block out the right/far right from the levers of power. Paddy Ashdown was too proud to do a deal with Blair that could have blocked out the tories at their nadir. Making the tories disappear from the green benches is a very real possibility if the centre left were ruthless enough to seize the day.

 

TBH this really ***** the Tories, even if they weren't already ******. Bring it on.

 

Boris leading the Tories into taking safe Labour seats who'd never been tory before and those wanting their country back who brought about brexit......shows there's enough numpties amongst Labour voters for Reform to gain from both sides.
It should be a concern.
The first past the post system could be a saviour.

 

This latest attempt is for a party which is not a political party but is in fact an opaquely funded limited company with Tice as Director.

I really can’t understand, for any rational reason (a “protest” vote or whatever it is), why anyone would vote for this pr1ck. Reform have as much chance of winning (or even getting a parliamentary seat) as Count Binface.
