Just to be 100% clear, my point was specifically about supporting Nigel Farage. It wasn’t a general comment about people with different opinions being uneducated.

Nigel Farage is a bigoted, populist racist. There is a lot of evidence to back that up. Anyone who supports him are either uneducated on the things he spouts, or equally bigoted. That’s the only point I made and I stand by it 100%. If people want to broaden that, that’s on them.

And just to be doubly clear, suggesting someone is uneducated on something isn’t necessarily a criticism. Often it’s not their fault. We’ve seen those kids chanting at Tommy’s march. They’re doing it because that’s what they’ve been taught from birth. They don’t know any different. And this is what scumbags like Farage et al prey on.

Solarised hadn't been challenged tho, just been told he's a bigot, racist and even a liar. A bit passive aggressive if you ask me.

    No worries.

Will look forward to the reasoning behind your support of Mr Farage and which of his policies strike a chord with you.

    Enjoy your afternoon.

To be fair, not that I'll be voting for farage his plan of zero nhs waiting lists in 2 years is good and if you can't see a g.p in 3 days you get a voucher to go private. The state of seeing a g.p at the moment has never been as bad. But like all party's they talk a good one.

TBF, Farage can promise the moon, he'll never get into power to back up these policies with actions.

He's just telling people what they want to hear without any thought on how he would actually implement the policy. Eg to clear waiting lists we need more doctors and nurses, these don't grow on trees and there aren't enough in the UK. So the only way to deliver this policy is more immigration from abroad, something he's also promised to stamp out. The two policies aren't compatible.

You don't have to think too hard to see that he's clearly talking boll ox.

Totally agree with you. There's a fixation and a happy 'buzz' for many progressives that there'll be a Labour government. That anticipation however means nothing if an incoming Labour government does nothing to address some key concerns of people who have been marginalised. If Labour only tinker at the edges on economic inequality, the NHS, regional disparities and don't get on top of immigration by getting a more streamlined effective apparatus for dealing with it then they'll be out in 2029 and an even nastier right-wing government will be back in. People in the country are becoming more frustrated with mainstream parties which seem to do nothing to alleviate their problems and disillusion. People like Farage feed on that and amplify it as was the case with Brexit when fear of immigration was weaponised along with the decline of funding for the nhs (alongside other issues). The first past the post system masks this discontent to an extent but the discontent is there nonetheless and it will grow if the country is still stagnating in 4/5 years time.

To be fair I thought he just wanted to crackdown on migrants from abroad who offer nothing to the economy who have no skills. I also think his idea of if you don't find a job in 4 months of looking your benefits stop. The ones i dont are big tax cuts for the rich. Like you say he won't get in and he's just telling folk what they want to hear like all of them.

The NHS waiting list stands at 7.5 million. Net migration was about 600,000 last year and was much lower pre-Brexit. Migrants tend to be younger working age individuals - a large chunk are students, and these put less pressure on the NHS.

The numbers just don't stack up for this argument.

The issue with prisons is that they are hugely underfunded. Migrants commit less crime per capita than British citizens, so this is not true.

Schools are a different argument and are in disarray in general, but I'd agree that migrant numbers here don't help.

I never mentioned migrants commiting crime but when your population is growing through migration and people having kids infestructure needs to grow too. Increasing population is fine if they are contributing.
