Keep your own house in order and you don't need hand outs. As for the court case. I hope City win. If I owned a football club it should be up to me how much I spend and I shouldn't be financially penalised for it. Shouldn't lose points either. Stupid rule.

Not a great article that, my understanding is that the basis of their argument is discrimination citing that they are being penalised due to who they are owned by and the rules were brought in as a result of who owns them.

Isn’t “tyranny of the majority” another way of looking at democracy?

I couldn't disagree more. This attitude will kill lower league football.

As for City, of course they should be penalised for breaking the rules. If they think the rule is daft then advocate for it to be changed, or challenge its legality on a prospective basis. Even if the rule is wrong it's still a rule and letting them off the hook just penalises the clubs who complied.

Yeah, I expect democracy is a difficult concept for City's owners to grasp

Christ I hate the Prem and all it stands for. City just won’t accept what should be coming to them and have adopted the legal route to save their skin.
Rangers’ punishment should be the yardstick but it won’t happen.

Another completely misinformed thread giving the red rats chance to crawl out and display their sour grapes.

Just one point I'll make, it's so ironic that the fans of the American owned red lot are suggesting City are risking the existence of the Premier League when they were the main advocates of the European Super league. US owners just aren't used to being out spent. Sour ******* grapes.

Humiliated? Hardly, but dos to Ten Hag, hope he stays. Have the committee completed their review yet? No working from home and treat every penny spent as your own - who's taken over, Arkwright and Granville? Bit rich coming from a tax exile.

Follow follow follow, City's taking the piss don't you know, all the money you've spent since Ferguson went and you'll never win four in a row.

Utterly delusional to think that anyone who opposes City must be a Utd fan.

Oh there's a long list that oppose City, but Man Ure are way out on top followed by Arsenal - nice move from them btw to leak the legal document to the press - Liverpool who share the same sense of entitlement at United fans, less so every other club but when you keep winning everyone hates you, and it's not about persecution complex it's about deserving some respect for being the best team in the world and breaking records season after season.

I predict a response relating to sports washing.

Just buying the best players from your closest competitors was really ground breaking stuff as was 4 4 f.ck.ng 2 every week, oh and if you want to mention corruption, imagine having your son as an agent representing players, one bought from Sporting Lisbon springs to mind. Just sour bitterness grapes cos you can't flush the Glazers, btw did you join the March for Qatar ?

Never in my lifetime......strap yourselves in for another 30 year wait.

There's literally emails where club officials talk about disguising payments from the owners as sponsorship money.
