Summer Transfer rumours..

Some absolute rubbish spouted on Twitter. Don’t understand why people spend their time making dodgy rumours up. There’s a massive difference between opinions and classifying it as ‘the truth’.

 

The usual ballacks from an account with 81 followers. Weirdly Bobby Hassell is one of the 81.

I would hope that we might be in the mix for Hayden Coulson, specialist left wing-back from Middlesbrough. He was on loan at Blackpool last season, so they probably have first dibs on him. Came through the England junior ranks at several levels. We need a specialist left wing back and he fits the bill. He would not come free, but I think any fee would be one we could afford. He actually looks a bit like Nicky Cadden as well. Another one is Sam McCallum, who has been released by Norwich. I REALLY rate him as a wing back. Not bad defensively. Terrific turn of pace and attacking prowess. Good crosser of the ball. The stumbling block here would be that he would probably not want to step down to League One in terms of wages and status. I wouldn't be surprised if some Championship teams were looking at him, but we need a player just like him. He would definitely improve the squad and we might end up being the best offer he gets. Who knows? Worth a try.

 

He still hasn't said bye to the fans... starting to think he didn't like us or the club.

 

Coulson is a great shout. Blackpool really want him back and Boro happy to let him go so would have to beat Blackpool to it but he's good.

The Norwich lad is being touted by half of the championship so we don't stand much chance there.

 

Not sure where Liam Roberts is on his Instagram story, but it's definitely not Rotherham.

Will Ferry the Cheltenham left wing back.. a 23 year old on a free who plays in a position we need, from the club our new head coach as just come from.. Has signed for Dundee United.. It says Dundee beat a host of clubs 'south of the border'
Now there maybe a hundred reasons why a player would choose one club over another. But I'd bet our new coach is awfully disappointed.. especially when he prides himself that his players run through brick walls for him..

 

Maybe it's a sign that we're about to be fishing in a bigger pond?

 

I've said this once and Ill keep saying it...players do not run through brick walls for anyone. It would weaken the squad through injury, possibly cause infection, almost certainly not be in any contract and the club would be opening itself up to insurance claims.
