I've no rivalry with the Scots there sound. It's the massives I can't stand ,thinking their invincible. The Scots have no high expectations so I wish em well. Maybe I've got it wrong.
Tennent’s yes but Inness Gunn? Ask Sparky about his round in Glasgow. 4 pints of Innes and I think £25 was not enough
Think you are so misguided here. It’s a rivalry thing. But you seem to want it to be more than that. Look mate we beat you at Bannockburn. Please just try and deal with it.
Aye, went to a wedding in April which was held at one of the Innes pubs. Luckily we got free drinks but others weren’t so happy with the pricing
The rivalry is pretty much one way. As expressed by many posts in this thread, a lot of us want want Scotland to do well. Personally I'd love you to qualify from the group as it can only improve our chances....
There are some amazing craft breweries in Scotland - Harviestoun, Loch Lomond and Williams Brothers are all excellent, plus loads of regional micros. Brewdog have lost the plot a bit recently, but played a huge part in bringing good beer to the masses. But I've really never got it with Innis and Gunn. Always seemed big on price, low on flavour.
I love Scotland and love the Scots. The year I spent working there,1998, and the multiple visits since only reinforced that. And I used to want them to do well at football, 74 and 78 spring to mind, but age told me that it is not reciprocated. And I couldn't believe the malice in 98. So now, my love for the country, the people and my ancestors remains but my footballing dislike of them is full pelt. Exactly as @arabian_ian would want it. But when Scotland bow out, it's all forgotten and I'll buy Ian a pint. So next Friday looking good
Well watching that young scot, who as walked from Hamden Park to Munich, to race money for a mental health charity just brought a tear to my eye. Fair play , well done young man. Hope you get a ticket for the game for your efforts.
