Can't win them all. Still second (just)... https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/t20-blast-2024-1410370/points-table-standings
We threw it away. Too many bad shots. Cruising at 77/1 after 8 overs. Then lost Root. 8 an over in the last 12 would have given us. 170+. We barely scraped 6.
Haha, you're probably the first to call it pretentious! Still plenty of Warwickshire die hards who can't bring themselves to use it - imagine Yorkshire rebranding one of their teams as Leeds...
Yorkshire struggling to chase a bang average total. They have no middle order once the big names are gone.
Pathetic from Yorks today, after a difficult start we had limited Leics to a winnable total only for our illustrious batters to fail and the tail was non existent. Quite what Masood or Gibson actually do to skipper and coach.....seemingly nothing.
Ahh maybe the novelty has worn off now, two straight losses this weekend, and now we've dropped down the table.
Both Thompson and Hill have come up trumps when needed in the last couple of seasons but, like the rest of the team, we lack consistency. I know it may seem to be stating the obvious but at least we know we have one of the best squads when all available
We don't often win the Roses clash so it was good. Masood played a captain knock and Root did well also. The middle order Thompson aside was pretty poor again once the big four had got us started. Disappointing to see lots of empty seats when it's usually sold out. Even though it didn't clash Yorkshire will put it down to the Football, when it's because nearly £40 for a T20 game is steep.
A very good win for sure and an enjoyable night for those of us who didn't watch the footy. I think there were quite a few who hadn't turned up - when I went on to buy tix earlier yesterday there were hardly any available where we were (Truman stand) but loads of gaps when the match started.
Yorks are chasing 171 and it looks achievable as the boundaries have been brought right in and we’ve got Lyth, Malan and Root to start off !
Pretty rubbish day all round. He wasn't the only one to toss away his wicket but what was Bess thinking of just lobbing that ball. He could have won the match just playing it around the field for ones and twos. Trying to win it with a six was rank incompetence. So angry watching that after a brilliant performance last night
