Great game , Slovakia giving everything riding their luck in Second half , dodgy decision ruling out equaliser but great win for Slovakia
I'm still laughing my head off at De Bruyne and Lukaku, and the vastly over rated Belgians. Mr Oulare and Mr Iseka, your boys took a hell of a Var inspired beating.
First Belgium goal was offside , second was given as hand ball in the build up , but it didn’t look deliberate or his hand or arm movement unnatural but it slightly altered the trajectory of the ball
I didn't think it did tbh. At most it grazed his fingernail. What I still can't get over is a clear penalty yesterday for Albania when their striker was held back blatantly by the shirt and VAR did nothing. Slovakia worked hard today but got very, very lucky.
Just how can accidental handball be an offense? Really feel for Belgium there. Clearly the player is just using his hands in a natural movement to run...it barely touches him. Really poor decision...rules need a revisit and amending.
I have got no idea what's handball and what isn't any more. They have buggered about with the rule so much it defies logic these days.
Who makes these decisions in the first place, and do they consult players' representatives when making them?
Best game of the tournament so far! Belgium's 2nd disallowed goal was perhaps a harsh decision, but the Belgian player did play the ball with his hand, even if it was accidental. Then again, I don't even know what the handball rule is nowadays...
Really impressed with Slovakia and Austria today. Well-organised. Big hearts and plenty of skill. Love a fighting underdog.
I know I was joking about it, but I have to feel for Belgium in fairness, as they have deserved a draw at least. That's a really strict use of the Var, for the second disallowed goal. Slovakia did really well to hang on, but they didn't deserve to. And they got really annoying as well with time wasting and play acting.
