The gift that just keeps on giving. This time, a Police Constable - Rishi's very own protection officer no less - has now been arrested for betting on the election date. Has there been a more disastrous election campaign than this? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cgeekd4nzvkt
Perhaps, but there's no doubting the optics are bad. Rishi's ex-personal secretary and a copper from his close protection team.
And Chris Philp's wife reported to CPS over corporate espionage claims, according to the Guardian. Following his appearance on last night's debate event John Crace called Chris Philp "the nonentity's nonentity!"
My Tory candidate and current Children's minister, not only did not know the current value of Child Benefit when asked on Radio, but insists that the State pension is not subject to income tax. I am currently in correspondence with him on this point. I think I will have to send him a copy of my notification of coding from HM Customs and Exercise. This clearly shows that the value of my state pension is deducted from my personal allowance of £12570. Thus is liable for income tax.
What gets me is that all these people knew beforehand to place a bet but it seemed to take all their MPs by surprise!
It’s so weird that they insist it isn’t taxed just because it is lower than the allowance. If that plus a private pension takes you above the threshold then the tax comes off the total, it’s not split into X money and Y money.
The Police are politicaly neutral, so I'm not sure how it's "from the Tory campaign". Just another corrupt rozzer. If you do want a laugh at the Tories, the latest MRP from the Telegraph has them on 53 seats, a Labour majority of 382, with Sunak losing his seat to boot.
the weird thing is that folk (including Tory candidates) believe the lie. I am in fairly regular contact with this guy David Johnston as he was our MP. My emails are responded to by one of his lackies and merely repeat the CCHQ mantra. It keeps me amused.
I do hope that prediction comes true; however, as it comes from the Torygraph I think it's just scare tactics to spook Tory supporters into voting.
Had darren millar tory candidate knock at my door today. Vale of clwyd constit. Asked if i wanted a leaflet. I replied im a barnsley lad, always reds and told him i could never ever vote tory. This man is not for turning .
I'm still waiting for a visit from a Tory - any Tory. I'm not sure the actual candidate has left his house in London yet - and certainly wouldn't be able to find Conisborough or Mexborough with a Sat Nav... (They'd end up here - https://www.alamy.com/a-plan-of-the...ee-and-four-storey-blocks-image431056328.html)
Sorry to keep bumping this, but it just keeps getting better. The 2nd Tory candidate under suspicion is married to…..The Director of Campaigning, for the Tories.
Who is now stepping back while he's investigated... So the campaign has nobody heading it. I'd say it could get even worse... But maybe thats not possible.
What I fail to understand is that a serving police officer has been arrested for allegedly the same offence, but these Tory $hysters are able to carry on as normal. It’s almost like there is one rule for one and another for everyone else……
There’s been a conspiracy from day one that Rishi is being deliberately sabotaged by his own party. This is a beauty!
