Going to be the last one this year , shame ,I’ve been a few times and it’s always been great entertainment with some top musicians
I'm not surprised tbh. I went last year stewarding, and there was hardly anyone there. My very first thought when I got there was they can't be making money on it, and festival costs have gone through the roof in recent years.
I’ve never been even though I’ve been a fan of Kate Rusby since she first started out on the folk scene. Festivals are not my thing any more but maybe have a look at this as it’s the last one
Didn’t go last year previous years it’s been well attended , it’s not my genre but I’ve seen some world class musicians over the years
This is true. Plus as a country/alt country punter they aren't and have hardly ever been good enough.
Went with my family one year, it was great saw some interesting stuff, but not bothered about going again really.
I don’t know for a small festival they’ve had some decent acts on , Richard Thompson, Mary Chaplin Carpenter, Steve Earle , Proclaimers , Ron Block etc
That is true to a certain extent, but it's been going for a few years now and often I've thought that the line up has been weak for a festival that is a bit niche and ought to be getting me there every year. Perhaps I'm a bit picky. Or more likely the acts I covet are already dead and nobody told me. This festival ought to be up my street year after year, and it hasn't been due to the lack of a few headliners.
I went to a few to try to support and I enjoyed an occasional set but couldn’t justify the cost in the longer term. Feels like a missed opportunity
