Birmingham owners wanted to take this fixture to the USA that's right you heard it correct a L1 fixture, American owners of both clubs. Really starting to fall out of love with the game. Would have been completely unfair on the other 22 teams, throws all sorts into question in terms of home/away game advantages Thankfully turned down by the EFL https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/birmingham-wrexham-brady-reynolds-33096054
If they want their Football team to play a game in USA then they should buy an American team and sell the club they currently own.
Like them or not, from what I've seen of Reynolds and MacElhenny, I can't see they'd have been up for that. Everything they've done appears to be geared towards the fans and the town of Wrexham, rather than how much money they can make from it. Even the article is a bit vague around Wrexham's involvement in it all. Seems like it's driven from the Birmingham City side.
They're playing down the road from me next month, but I'll give it a miss: https://www.levisstadium.com/event/chelsea-fc-vs-wrexham-afc/
Seems Birmingham are disappointed with the EFL decision. Not concerned that the fans would be up in arms, I'd be wanting the board out asap for pushing for it. Tom Brady would love it. Well there are thousands of fans who wouldnt. Or don't they matter.?
