    Poor state of affairs. An head coach who openly said he'd like most of his business completed for the start of pre season. Well time is running out for next Monday.

    Doesn’t make me wonder “if”. Of course we will make signings. If we don’t make any more signings this summer, I’ll get my arse out on town hall steps.

    Would rather get the right players in than rush and pick the wrong ones. In an ideal world, we’d have all our targets signed through the door by July 1st ready for pre-season. But there’s so many factors that come in to play.

    We won’t even be doing much tactical work from Clarke early doors of preseason anyway.

    The only explanation is that all our potential targets are taking an active part in Euro 24.

    I would hazard a guess we have missed out on a couple, the question is how far down the list do we go....... We went as far down as Pontefract Colliers last season so anything is possible, I just hope lessons have been learnt.

    Makes me wonder where some folk have been every season. It's the Barnsley way, same every year, chill abart it, do yer blood pressure a favour, we'll sign some before the season starts, we always do, perhaps not soon enough for some on here, but it'll happen.

    Proof of the pudding is when the season starts. If they get recruitment right all well and good. If they get it wrong they'll quite rightly get flak. Be patient and slag em off later if they need slagging off

    Would be nice to have got bodies in but the director of football (can’t remember his name ! Stormzy or summat)hinted they were in negotiations and players would be in when they report back, that’s 1st July I believe ( I know some were back yesterday). So we’ll see
