    Better in terms of intentions but so disjointed. I say better, maybe that is only because they haven't scored so cannot revert to eleven men behind the ball.

    Nothing like the England of recent years. Error strewn and nervy. Foden is an excellent player, but put him on the left and you expose his weaknesses, not his strength. Gordon on surely for a run out. Foden inside and Gallagher, off. We're woefully short of pace and I'm losing interest.

    Kane spent more time in midfield than as a striker.

    Bellingham spent more time on wing then as a number ten

    Tripper and foden may as well hold hands.

    The lack of pace and movement is woeful. These are players that play at electric pace, week in week out. This has to be in the coaching and tactics.

    Depressing turgid and boring stuff, much of it at walking pace, which allows Slovenia to pull back and reorganise in their half.

    Little involvement so far from either Gallagher or Bellingham to spark things.
