The Dr has tried her on 2 lots of different antibiotics and even sent her for a X-ray which came back all clear, anyone else having the same issues?

I had exactly that, started in December last year and went on and on. Had 2 different lots of antibiotics and a chest XRAY which was clear. It finally cleared up on its own in mid April.

Yes mate, I think it’s going to be a case of waiting for it to go on its own

My wife has had a dreadful hacking cough for weeks. She is in touch with the doctor who has said that it could be a prelude to pneumonia if it isn't stopped in time.
    But hopefully not.
Whatever it is I haven't caught it.

I had the same back end of January for 2 months. Two lots of antibiotics didn't help and chest x-ray / bloods all clear.

My girlfriend had it for a month. It developed into pneumonia. She's been in St James hospital in Leeds for over 2 weeks now.

Had in beginning of the year. Suspected Whooping Cough so nothing will touch it if you don’t take antibiotics within a short time frame from getting it. If it is that then Bad news: you just have to tough it out, Good news: it goes eventually and it’s not really dangerous to adults, just keep her away from unvaccinated babies!

I have read suggestions that Covid infection is leading to an increase in *vaccinated* children contracting whooping cough. Apparently it is known to affect the immune system.

I've just about stopped coughing except when I exert myself from the flu I caught 5 weeks ago. My resting heart rate is also still 12-15% higher than usual although some of that could be the warmer weather.

I’ve liked but I obviously don’t ‘like’ this.

Yes had it from mid December until March nicknamed the 100 day cough part of the whooping cough virus apparently, it was a fellow poster on here who suggested anything codine based, tried it and it helped massively along with lots of Green tea lemon and ginger flavour and a big spoon of honey added.
    Hope she gets better soon

Any chance it could be the vaccine? Don't go mental everyone, it's just a thought.
