Ed Davey comes across as a lovely bloke. He has his family issues which he doesn't sweep under the carpet. How good a PM he would be I don't know but I'd vote for him simply cos I like him.
calculated. straight out of the Boris playbook. I’d rather have serious policy and debate not daft stunts.
I take your point but since when do we have serious debate about policy in this country? Except on the BBS of course
https://images.app.goo.gl/9JfzEFrAvsWKS8XQA And here he is, on his way to see the king before taking office.
I'm suprised more on this board aren't voting lib dems aren't they the only party wanting back in the e.u and many on here still seems the hot topic.
I chose green, but could have easily voted Lib Dem. Who have you gone for/going with? Reform? Tories? Something else?
The dumbing down and refusal to speak the truth is sadly all encompassing anyone who does is usually called boring or the press do a hatchet job on
None as yet not sure I'll bother tbh. Won't be voting these after the last years especially Boris and his pals, Reform I'll get hammer for this but some policies are good but seem abit unrealistic, and them getting in could divide the country and wouldn't be good. Labour will get in in my area no doubt anyway.
Don't just seem a bit unrealistic. They are a perfect example of "magical thinking". A week of them in power would see the economy crash harder and longer than Liz Truss.
I’ve warmed to Ed seems a genuine guy. Shame that his fingerprints are all over the austerity that killed so many but I’d definitely vote for the LDs if they had a chance of defeating the centre right parties of Labour / Reform / Conservative
Most of my local councils are run by Lib Dem’s. The current Mrs. DR is a good friend of the chair of Oxfordshire CC (a Lib Dem). I just can’t get over the fact that in 2010, I voted Lib Dem and got a Tory Government. I think the Lib Dem’s will never fall for that again but it is too late for me. I will not vote tactically ever again.
I remember saying at the time of the coalition that getting into bed with the tories would set the lib dems back 20 years..
Unless PR comes in they're destined to be a party who does well at local election time but poorly at General elections. could possibly get pushed further away if Reform nick a load of Tory seats.
