Very sad that the past 14 years still can't make over half those who could vote, be bothered enough to do so.

Yes she smashed it here :) Happy that we wasn't one of the many places Reform came second either.

I’m happy that they didn’t even come top 3 in my constituency!

My constituency too. Glad she won, although Eastwood was actually a decent constituency MP. Wouldn't say she smashed it, if you added the reform votes to the Tories, she loses. Suspect a lot of seats like that. Genuinely scratching my head as to the logic of voting reform, (on lots of levels) especially in a marginal seat.

Reform vote seems like some internal protest vote to the Tories.

UK got one of the lowest TFR in the world , what were Reform or indeed the Tories proposing to remedy this , in fact what is Labour policy on the birth rate decline?

So we have the lowest Total Fertility Rate in the world, but so what? Obviously Boris the Clown tried to remedy this but lost count at 7

Do we really need to increase the birth rate? We have vastly overstretched resources due to an expanding population as it is, the planet is booming reproduction wise and it cannot be sustainable in the future

You need people in work to pay for older people's retirement, if you fancy working until you die, then be my guest. I'd rather we had a sustainable population - one sign of an unfair society is where people can't afford to have children - having a healthy birth rate can be a sign of that, a declining birth rate is the opposite of a functioning society.

Not sure about what any politicians do about this, perhaps a huge tax on condoms?? Organised power cuts around valentine's day??

He was OK and deserves credit for a few things. He looked genuinely upset at losing his seat.

If it makes you feel less guilty at his looking upset, he is a Leeds fan :D
