    According to the East Anglia Times, we're back in for Idris El Mizouni, Tunisian centre mid. Allegedly Leyton Orient have been 'priced out of' a permanent move for him after a successive loan spell last season, and us, Derby and Oxford are allegedly linked, though I'm always sceptical when an article links several teams.

    He's one I'd certainly be happy with.

    Would be a great signing, however if other clubs are linked, particularly clubs in a higher division, then that sadly rules us out.

    Very good player, sure we were linked last season at some point when Ipswich were considering cutting his loan short to sell him. Would be very happy if we got this one over the line (providing we are even interested)

    Thing with these sorts of rumours though, is that I often wonder if the players agent puts the names of higher clubs out there to try and draw interest.

    I've seen it dozens of times where we've been 'linked' with a player, who ultimately signs for a team at the bottom of league 1 or even in league 2.

    I think it was January. There were rumours they were going to recall him from Orient if we could agree a fee.

    Yeah knew there was something not that long ago.

    If the report is accurate then we may have a chance as Oxford just signed a new CM in Sibley this week and Derby are due to sign one soon too according to what I have seen online so neither of those may need him now.

    El Mizouni is a very good player though I’m not convinced midfield is an area with a priority to strengthen. Suggests some will depart if there’s anything in it.

    Possibly not priority as that would be keeper, left wing back and striker but we do still need to replace Kane. I’m not convinced Hourihane will be that. I’d like it to be Benson but he’ll need to massively improve his fitness for that to happen.

    Been no bids/approaches for Phillips so he does not seem to be going anywhere (at the moment) El Mizouni is a totally different type of player to Phillips too so even if we did bring him in, it would not be to replace Phillips.
