From looking on transfermarkt, it took him a little while to break into their team and hasn’t exactly played loads of games. Does look like someone we’d sign though. But, you’d think, he would be one more for the future with us signing a slightly more experienced one for right now.
Absolutely. He's not played many games fewer than Corey Addai, who a lot of people wanted us to re-sign. He's a bit older, but not much more experienced.
Well he is probably on the move because he doesn't t show up on Walsalls own websites current squad listing or on their wicki page.

If we're planning on Killip being the number 1 then I have serious issues with whoever is making that decision. Hartlepool didn't want him as back up and their in non league! Not been impressed with him whenever he's played for us either. I'd be amazed and appalled if that was the case. Although I think we took the option to extend his deal into this season as per Marsh - which on both counts is pretty disappointing.
I'd say national league if he was. As I say, surely not. I am disappointed he was kept as back up. All the other teams looking to be up there will have able back ups, Killip is not that.
I can't recall Kilip having a bad game in the few games he had for us.I would say he is more than capable of being back up especially after playing over 200 games in his career.
He’s awful. I do think when he cost us 2 points at Lincoln that seemed to be a turning point in our season. As much as we were crap to watch we were winning most weeks until that point.
He's not awful. He got pelters on for a few goals let in at the near post but most were not his fault and more down to sh*t defending
We seem to be getting linked with the Irish market. There’s been a low level rumour regarding a goalkeeper from Ireland who’s at Brighton as well.
I think it's unsubstantiated rumours that are the problem though. Wildsmith has been mentioned, and he's a half decent and experienced keeper for this level. He's now become the minimum expectation, regardless of whether we're interested or not. The likelihood is, we're not interested, probably due to wages. From what I've read about Jackson Smith, he's a very good young keeper, will probably be our first choice, and has every chance of being a top keeper. But because he's not Joe Wildsmith, he's getting panned before he's even signed. I mean, remember the reaction when we let Walton go to Luton, and took Isted on loan in return. It was as though we'd swapped Peter Schmeichel for Vito Mannone.
Challenging for promotion is a easy thing to say to give fans promise, assembling a squad that can compete with Huddersfield, Rotherham, Birmingham etc is another. So far I'm not impressed.
He's no longer their player. His contract expired at the end of June and as of yet, he's not signed a new one. He's been linked with us, Swansea and Shrewsbury since the end of the season.
