    They have an imaginary Republic called Liverpool they think isn't in England, we're all proud of our local area's but they take it too far and it's fashionable to hate England

    As you say it's pretty much originates from the fact there's a lot of Irish and Welsh here also the targeted decline in the 80's - we had the Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire thing as well ...

    They do hate the establishment which is fine, but to then flip that over to the English football team is ridiculous, regularly hear "Liverpool is not in England" some were actively supporting the Dutch last night.
