New Kit

Fans will be charged a pretty penny yet again, this time for the blandest kits I have ever seen.

 

Anyone who criticised last seasons home ( I didn’t) you must be livid with these 3 abominations!
Home is a training shirt away is awful will look shocking after a few washed and the 3rd well what can you say looks so cheap and nasty

Looks like a training top. Hopefully will look better when there’s a sponsor on it.

 

I think they look ok, but they do look much better in the images in the Chron article, with the VFILES sponsor on the front. Really completes it.

Any word on why the mens team don’t have a sponsor? A bit of a concern, given we’re skint!

Either way, I like the shade of red, the white rose and the Toby logo. Stuff to like there.

For context though, I also think last year’s kit is a classic!

 

Awesome, can buy the home shirt and the away shorts and have a proper kit.

I have great news for you. There’s no requirement to buy it. If you don’t like it or think it’s too expensive you can choose not to buy.

 

Oh and well done we finally have the pink kit I have gone on about for years on here. Shame it's not to raise funds for a good cause, but better than nothing. I can only find 2017 but I am sure I banged on about it earlier.

What’s USA about it?

 

Surely we're not going ahead without a frojtnof shirt sponsor? If so why? If not, why have we not got a sponsorship in place already?

Its negligence at this point.

Arrogance and disdain for fans too. It sounds petty to be upset about a kit, but this doesn't feel like Barnsley at all. We don't play in all red, do we??

 

Last season: People don't like the kit because it's too crazy with all the stars and more like a fashion item than a football top.

This season: Club listens and goes for a kit that is red all over (marketing ploy there....) and still get it in the neck this time for being too plain.

 

I’ll add my comments just to add to the gauge of reactions - with the disclaimer I don’t think it matters as already some like them and some don’t / kits are really personal opinions.

I don’t really like them, they all do look better as the womens option with the sponsor on, the red probably just needed a bit of white (and white shorts) the grey may look better in the flesh perhaps - but I’m not a fan of the pink at all, I wasn’t against a Toby logo but it needed the circle around it I think.

But why not play in all red for a season? We’ve played in red with white shorts for 100+ years and will do for another 100+ years. Why not go all red for a change.
Like with the fun kit last year. Why not?

 

Yeah the white sponsor on the home kit makes a big difference. Looks much better.

Last season’s home shirt was great.

This season’s is plain, which some wanted, and it’s boring imo.

I’d love to see the commercial figures from last season’s shirt - I bet it was the highest selling shirt for a while, despite the initial delay.

 

It does seem odd to not have a sponsor as that doesn't help. It wouldn't look as plain with a big sponsor across the front.

 

Why are the home shorts red again? Why is there no white trim on the home kit? Why isn't there a front of shirt sponsor which will generate revenue for the club Who's approved these awful kits?
