New Kit

Why they just didn’t put the white shorts with the red kit and then red shorts with the white kit I just can’t really fathom. 3rd kit looks like a goalkeeper kit.

Needs a sponsor but other than that, they're football kits, all look ok to me.

 

Goodness me, to use that word again here... they are extremely 'underwhelming'!!.

Away kit do what the **** you want.

Where's the engagement with the fans and a bit of let's keep them happy with kit to be proud of eh

 

The shorts are darker than most of the shirt - the same shade as the darker cuffs of the shirt and the stars at the top.

They shouldn’t be any shade of red for me but the fact they are darker than the majority of the shirt makes them even worse.

 

White kit?

Either my eyes are deceiving me or the away kit is a million miles away from being white.

 

Home from school and my 11 year old daughter loves the pink kit.

 

It reminds me of the Smarty malarkey tv advert lol.
Where she's naming loads of weird colours, that are basically just different shades of white/light grey.

 

Could it be that’s who they’re trying to appeal to? And the demographic of posters on the bbs isn’t who they were intended for? Who knows?

 

Maybe - 3 to choose from so make them different enough to appeal to different fans

 

It felt like a one off last year I wasn’t keen but two years in a row feels more permanent. And the spiel they’ve come out with saying it’s a nod to the club history when it’s anything but! Feels like they’re taking the piss.

Are these official then (I was hoping it was all a joke to begin with), they are definitely our 3 new kits for the season ?.
I hate the pink to be honest, and I'm wondering when we'll have to wear it. Exeter and Lincoln for example, wear red n white stripes, so would the pink thing even clash with that!.

 

The pink kit is probably not aimed at you. We probably won’t wear it much. Don’t worry about it. The red is fine imo.

 

Yeah I know what your saying, as there are different 'fans' to appeal to these days. And like we've said, will we wear it much at all actually ?.

 

Wow. Second season in a row that I can honestly say I hate all three of them.

Why keep the stars that were so divisive the first time around? And the second? Do we really need them a third time?

All red? Not very Barnsley. At least last season had the white stomach area which kind of made up for having red shorts. Not even any white trim.

The away kit just looks a bit of a mess.

The pink would be better if there was a donation to a Breast Cancer charity for every one sold (think Huddersfield used to do this).

Not a fan of the training kits either.

Ah well, won't be spending anything in the club shop again.

 

Agree with all of this, terrible terrible kits can't see many selling at all huge own goal by the club, start messing with club colours (all red) fans get upset.
Getting ripped apart by other clubs hasn't gone down well at all.

Why do we shoot ourselves time after time, does nobody at the club speak up and say "hang on a minute I think we need a classy home kit in keeping that will sell" instead of what feels like someone saying let's appeal to the American Market.

Yeah exactly, and if Julie Q (or whoever else) is involved in this, then they really haven't got a scooby doo have they!.

 

Needs a sponsor may break up how bang average especially the home being like a training top, not a betting company though or that awful US Mobile one! There does seem to be a massive sponsorship hole the last few years, it brings revenue in are the marketing department now at Luton or sommat ? There aren’t many teams without sponsors Forest were part of last season I think.
