Go to a premier league team and be nearly good enough to win stuff for a few years but always fall just short then get the sack when the owners tire of throwing money at the team but not winning trophies
Do you think? Over the past 20 years I've always seen Spurs as an fluid, attacking team. That seems to be thing all their fans care about too, regardless of silverware. Conte/Nuno/Mourinho got proper stick for it from fans. Then Ange turns up and they love him despite player 1-0-9 formation!
I think he should manage abroad for a few years then enjoy his money and pack it all in. Not worth the grief.
Who's the alternative to our most successful manager since Alf Ramsay? Frank Lampard? Players need to take some responsibility.
Needs to move on and on the back of this Euros i can’t see him getting a top club job in Europe. He’s a Villa maybe Everton type of manager.
He deserves some meaningless role for life in the FA, I fear he'd fall flat on his face managing in the premier league. England need new energy to drive us forwards.
Both Everton and Villa have much better managers than him now. He should step down, have a break, and reassess. The FA should give him a job ‘upstairs’ for as long as he wants it. He would be a massive asset - but he shouldn’t be coaching the first team anymore. If he wants it that is - he might want another whirl at club management. It’d take a bloody good agent to get him a top club job. I don’t see anyone wanting him at a big club, I really don’t. If he wanted a club job he’d get one; he’s a ‘big’ name. But not at one of the bigger European clubs in my eyes. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him in another international gig. USA are after a manager for example.
