Exactly he should sing something with less problematic undertones like Rule Britannia or Land of hope and Glory.
Maybe we should congratulate him? Well done on singing that offensive, pathetic song lad. Great job! Makes us look great in the eyes of decent people.
You're calling out one lad in a group of hundreds. It might not be to your taste, it's not to mine, but this is fast becoming a pile on of a lad that if you all had anything about you you could quite easily have a chat with directly. It's not like you don't know where he'll be on 9th August.
Yeah I'm sure that'll work. "Now then Granty, why don't you knock it on the head with the offensive, xenophobic chanting and singing" I'm sure the response would be very reasoned.
I won't be there Dyson. I rarely get over these days. Nevertheless one of the first things I tell people when I meet them is that I'm a Barnsley fan. I say it with pride. In a small way this bloke represents me, and you, and all of us. So do us a favour. If you get chance YOU have a word with him.
I don’t mind him myself, I wouldn’t make a special effort to sit near him at away games - might have done when I was 20 mind. I don’t think anyone’s jealous though. Not everyone aspires to be loud and laddish. Some people are happy not to be stereotypes.
You could always have a private word via PM on here, he’s a regular poster. He doesn’t represent us as a club at all, and 90% of people find him great fun and a decent bloke. Very judgemental of people to judge him on a couple of 20 second clips here and there, he’s a proper decent bloke. He also raised a good bit of money recently for charity as the Grimey reds doo at the singing man in shafton. Of course that won’t be mentioned by the few who slate him. This woke culture is weird.
Well seeing as I once asked him to sit down at an away game because he was shouting and swearing in front of my Mum and the response was "she can always ******* move mate", I think I'll stick to the opinion I have of him Edit: I'd rather be woke, then a complete tool.
Don't worry it's fine. It's just not something I'd say as I'm lost on that particular phrase these days. On your actual point you're more than entitled to your opinion of the man. I just don't particularly like seeing someone being dug out by so many online. Liklihood is he's unaware and if he were wouldn't give it much thought. But we don't know that, and he's hardly some evil criminal, he gets drunk sings mildly offensive songs and makes a fool of himself. He's also a husband and a father, so I just feel some thought needs to be given to piling on and abusing a fellow human being.
Yeah I see that too - I was just speaking about my experience with him. Don't know why I've banged on about it so much really. It is what it is, I'll leave it.
I've witnessed him assault people in the stadium 3 times he should not be allowed in to the ground never mind lauded as some kind of supporters representative.
That was one that I saw... Totally unprovoked as the lad was leaving. How people can stick up for the idiot I don't know.
He loves doing that as he assaulted a lad who was being escorted out of the ponty end last season. Honestly those woke lot and their hatred of people getting assaulted is beyond me.
