Very good! Got most of it right, though had to check a couple of spellings! How do I display the answers when I give up?

Struggling with a couple. Who is that youngest goalscorer and who are the father and son players?

Father and son - father regarded as one of our best ever players. Son looked to have bags of potential but in the end flattered to deceive.

No it doesn't fit with the correct letters already there.

His name is G*Y**I**Y so obviously it's not Reuben Lazarus. Help please!

Confused about this 1000th player one. Mitch Ward is alumni 1000 but that's not the answer. *o**a.

Hmm leaving it for now. Just two to get - that player ending in A and the youngest scorer. Somebody must know, surely??
The rest of the answers are right because they have turned green.
    Good crossword!!

Glyn Riley is youngest goal scorer. Can’t think of any player ending in A for t’other one.

Another one that’s obvious! It’s amazing how you forget things but then when you see the answer you wonder where it went!

It took me ages to get Chris Shuker. I could see his face but the name wouldn’t come
