I read something the other day saying they had blown a phemonal amount of the election budget already.
Also expect Trump and team to point out that the democratic Party have just removed the nominee invalidating the votes of everyone who selected him as the nominee - belive it was around 14 Million votes. They really had backed themselves into a corner with Biden. I can't see Harris winning and while I believe Michelle Obama may have chance I doubt she would risk it when as you say 2028 seems like a potential open goal after America endures 4 more years of Trump.
That is the question to the careerists in the Democrat party who appear to think so, even if they say something different.
They were doomed after the debate and then his other gaffs in public, there was no way back for Biden, the ONLY chance they have is to pick someone who can persuade the middle america women of the swing states to vote for them, I'm not convinced that person is Harris.
Quick fact check doesn’t seem to back that up https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=did kamala harris call biden racist &source=sh/x/gs/m2/5#ip=1
If the democrats are smart then by early next week they are running blanket adverts across all media made entirely of footage of Trump mocking the idea of an old man running the country. Polling is pretty clear that swing voters favour a younger candidate. If Trump starts ducking debates or making his usual gaffes then the polls will change quickly. Assuming it is Harris, he's now up against a fairly vicious state prosecutor as opposed to a doddering and mostly polite old man.
I know Biden has been raising a lot of money and has a hell of a lot more field offices than Trump. It’s also been said that a lot of the money Trump raises is going to pay his huge legal costs
They are smart mate, don’t worry about that. It’s the reason the bonkers right accuse them of all sorts of nonsense.
Me either. I think large parts of America will have issues voting for a woman of colour, whether that can be offset by the people who will obviously feel represented/empowered by that remains to be seen.
Technically true. I remember watching it live. Saying he's not racist but his past records have been, working with segregationists and saying he made her a second class citizen whilst she was younger. We do the same thing to the other side, blame Trump for Jan 6, but we leave out where he says peacefully protest because we know he didnt want it to be peaceful. Harris says 'I know you're not racist, but look at your record' hint hint My point remains the same, if it's going to be bickering and bringing up peoples past etc, I think it's Trump who will win Not sure if I'm making sense but I know what I mean bud
Thing about Jan 6 is Trump actually held a rally within farting distance of the Capitol & called it ‘stop the steal’ after endlessly talking about a stolen election. Trump knows what his base are, he’s never off social media. He could have held it anywhere else if he didn’t want trouble.
I'm not disagreeing with you bud. I just think any future infighting within the democrat party will lead to another Trump term
I don’t see it mate. I’ve followed it since Election night and see a huge difference in the two parties. I think if Trump had stepped down, the Republican Party (or MAGA part thereof) would do a group suicide. They truly are the party of chaos and madness. I think the Dems will appoint a successor and vice president, and crack on with the job in hand. Much has been made of Bidens inability to speak well and his age, so we should see an improvement in that department - I’m looking forward to the next debate, whoever it is, and probably more than Trump will be I’d Love it to be Jamie Raskin
Trump was guaranteed to win against Biden. Now it's uncertain. He was beating Biden in most polls by 2-3 points but In a recent poll he was down by 8 points to "any younger democrat". Michelle Obama polls 10 points ahead of him. The issue Trump has is that he can't persuade most voters to vote FOR him outside of his base. What he can do (as proven by Hilary Clinton and Biden this time around) persuade swing voters and softer democrat voters that his opponent is a bigger risk. Their votes don't go to Trump.. they either don't vote or vote for a 3rd party. There is so much opposition to Trump that all they need is someone they feel is vaguely competent. That was Biden in 2020 despite him being one of the blandest and most 'vanilla' candidates in history. Trump is in the driving seat for sure, but with this change it is FAR from over.
I cant see what all the fuss is abart, a poorly man stepping down from his job, the Democrats'll av somebody lined up, i'll av a bet on him, her or whoever being a liar, that i can guarentee. But i'm saying Andy Beshear, will be the next Democrat Leader.
