Not sure that 70odd/80 million americans believe that mate It is crazy how Biden and Trump were the nominees in 2024 - I think it was around 70% of americans wanted both of them to drop out , mental numbers
The world felt safer with him in charge. We had Obama who did nothing about Crimea, years of relative peace and then when Biden comes in we have the troubles with Israel and Ukraine. For all his many MANY faults he did seem to have a knack of stopping things going off around the world.
I have no idea how you have arrived at the conclusion that the identity of the president was in any way causative of the recent Israel/Gaza attacks and conflict.
In fact the Hamas attack was almost certainly influenced by Trump recognising Jerusalem as the Israeli capital
I will say this, Stop calling the USA president, the leader of the free world. No He/She is not & never will be, not my leader, never was never, ever will be. being a Rep or Dem, not my leader.
I'm not sure it's fair blaming it on Trump, 6 years after he made that decision mate. I personally don't think any president including Biden had any impact on Oct 7. I have no idea what could have been changed since the attack depending on which president, but aye. They've been fighting for god knows how long and I think its just another sad fact of the matter.
I lifted these straight off the Whitehouse.gov website. I don't like the man, I've said it countless times. But this isn't biased, they're just statements of facts as I read them. America gained 7 million new jobs – more than three times government experts’ projections. Middle-Class family income increased nearly $6,000 – more than five times the gains during the entire previous administration. The unemployment rate reached 3.5 percent, the lowest in a half-century. Achieved 40 months in a row with more job openings than job-hirings. More Americans reported being employed than ever before – nearly 160 million. Jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low. Strengthened America’s rural economy by investing over $1.3 billion through the Agriculture Department’s ReConnect Program to bring high-speed broadband infrastructure to rural America. Achieved a record-setting economic comeback by rejecting blanket lockdowns. An October 2020 Gallup survey found 56 percent of Americans said they were better off during a pandemic than four years prior. During the third quarter of 2020, the economy grew at a rate of 33.1 percent – the most rapid GDP growth ever recorded. Since coronavirus lockdowns ended, the economy has added back over 12 million jobs, more than half the jobs lost. Jobs have been recovered 23 times faster than the previous administration’s recovery. Unemployment fell to 6.7 percent in December, from a pandemic peak of 14.7 percent in April – beating expectations of well over 10 percent unemployment through the end of 2020. Under the previous administration, it took 49 months for the unemployment rate to fall from 10 percent to under 7 percent compared to just 3 months for the Trump Administration. Since April, the Hispanic unemployment rate has fallen by 9.6 percent, Asian-American unemployment by 8.6 percent, and Black American unemployment by 6.8 percent. 80 percent of small businesses are now open, up from just 53 percent in April. Stabilized America’s financial markets with the establishment of a number of Treasury Department supported facilities at the Federal Reserve.
Maybe not but him recognising Jerusalem is a clear example of his problematic foreign policy. Everywhere that Trump engaged with in his presidency and claims victory and success - is now less stable than it was before his presidency. Russia, North Korea & Israel were all more stable before he went barreling through on his egotrip, empowering one side or another in the local disputes. He was also behind the Afghanistan withdrawal that Biden took the flak for.
By letting despots likes him have free rein a trump presidency puts us all at risk Putin will believe he can do anything without fear of American intervention.
When you track most of the above into the two previous terms of Obama, dating back to the recession, you realise it's a continuation of a trend of improvement in these areas (that actually tapered off during his presidency due to his erratic policies.) Unemployment, for example, dropped 3.3% in Obamas 2nd term but only 1.2% during Trumps term. It wouldn't be fair to blame Trump for the subsequent decline during Biden's term as COVID was almost certainly a huge influence.. but most financial experts agree that Trump's slow and inconsistent response to the pandemic was extremely damaging to the US economy. What will be the real test for Trump though will be that, if he wins this time, global economies are still in the early stages of recovery.. so there is no 'headwind' for Trump to ride. He will be required to act decisively to see any growth in the economic sectors he claims to be and expert in.
Yeah because when there are two unhinged loons with their fingers on the red button they both know the other is mad enough to retaliate. Still not sure it’s the kind of peace we want…
You do know that Trump was still the president when those stats were made available? https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/trump-administration-accomplishments/ Just look at the first page - He refers to Covid as ‘China Virus’. He’s literally written it all himself. Not saying some of it’s not true, but I’d advise a fact check on both Trump and Bidens accomplishments.
Well it's been up there to be scrutinised for nearly four years. And I'm sure the democrats would've loved to have torn it to shreds given the chance...which they've had....for four years. He can call COVID whatever he likes, chances are it did come from Wuhan, China. So technically, he's right in that regard too I suppose. As someone who dislikes them both, all I can see from Biden is that he's allowed the Country to be flooded with illegal immigrants and put their lives at risk doing so, along with the border forces, people resident in the areas being crossed into and a massive burden on the welfare, health and benefit system. Trump's a misogynistic pig, but prior to COVID, the Country was quite clearly booming. Not to mention the fact he somehow managed to negotiate a peace agreement with that actual lunatic in North Korea, and didn't actively start a conflict, which isn't easy to say about a President in modern times.
Can I ask where you get your information from If you’ve missed the Dems scrutinising Trumps claims for the last 4 years? Also did you know that Trump was recently rated the worst Pres in American history? Just have a trawl through this lot. It’s the BBC, so it’s neither Dem or Republican https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/55730719 There’s loads of stuff on the net to get your teeth into. Including Bidens own accomplishments, which are very impressive.
