Who is the person organising it, how will they allocate the donations, and what is their relationship with the family?

I'm not making any allegations, I just couldn't find any further information regarding whether this was 'official' for want of a better word.

Don't think anyone would accuse you, of all people, of making allegations.
If you click on 'read more' on the link it discusses a trust fund and paying for education etc.
How that will be allocated, and the logistics, I'm not sure there is too much detail on that, but probably too soon.
The organisers name is mentioned but obviously I am unaware as to his relationship to the family. Like you, I allege nothing by stating that.

Go Fund Me is a reliable site for donating to personal causes. The fact that it names the organiser and contains full details of Poppie and the family indicates its authenticity. Go Fund Me has done a great job for so many causes like this one. I have an email confirmation already and have passed a message to the family via Paul Hepple.

Raised over £63000 in less than 24 hours.

    Speaks volumes.

Be well over 100k once it's done. What a lovely positive for the power of social media.

Done! It's the one Admin power I've been granted for my "Comings & Goings" updates.

I think when I donated earlier this morning it was around £6,000 and it’s now over £114,000!

Obviously no amount of money will ever make it right but let’s hope it keeps going up and up for her.

from the go fund me page:

Dear friends and supporters,I’ve received several messages asking about my relationship to Poppie and how the donations will be allocated, so I wanted to provide some clarity.I am a close friend of Poppie’s family, and Poppie is best friends with my stepdaughter. Since the tragic incident, Poppie has been staying with us. The love and support we have received from all of you have been truly overwhelming, and we are deeply grateful.Regarding the donations, I want to assure you that every penny will go directly to Poppie’s new guardian, her auntie. Poppie will be staying and living with her auntie, who is an amazing, loving, and capable guardian. She will be entirely responsible for managing the donations, ensuring that all funds are used for Poppie’s well-being, including her living expenses, education, and any counseling she may need. Additionally, some of the funds may be used for the funeral expenses for Poppie’s family if they choose to.Thank you all once again for your incredible generosity and support. Your contributions are making a significant difference in Poppie’s life, providing her with the stability and care she needs during this difficult time.

5k anonymous donation is the biggest so far. I wonder if an organisation has had a whip round and donated as one.

That's a great idea for people to do in the workplace! I did notice that Stan Collymore tweeted about the fund raiser about 15 mins after the donation landed so maybe it came from him ‍♂️

I'm sure at some point they will close the appeal. I'll keep an eye out, but if you hear anything let me know, and I will unstick this post.
    Cheers,
