According to their forum, they've been allocated just short of 4,000 tickets, and half of those have been sold on the first day of sales. Looking like a good away following for the first game. Hoping for a good 15,000+ crowd to open the season.
That’s why it’s a CAT A Game. I don’t understand why some folk questioned it. But it won’t be a bumper crowd yet - a lot on holiday still.
They regularly took a healthy away following last season. With it being their first season back in third tier for yonks and fairly local I'd guess 3k at least. Probably have sold full allocation if was a Saturday 3pm ko.
https://www.mansfieldtown.net/news/...et-details-and-new-points-system-information/ How sad that they will likely sell out but we will be leaving around a thousand seats empty that could be sold.
Considering they averaged around 6,000 home supporters last season, I'd be impressed if they managed to flog nearly 5,000 tickets for a Friday night game on sky. Suppose it is their first time here and at this level in 20 years and relatively close
Given the number of season ticket holders and the number of tickets Mansfield have sold, I'm not sure it could be under 12k.
Usual standard of referees I noticed. Nothing changes. Don’t know how we managed to lose that though. Very wasteful.
Well not on the official numbers anyway. How many of those will be not physically there is another matter. Plenty on holiday and plenty in front of the telly.
I wonder how “word got around” then. Even if a few had trannies it would have been hard to get the message to everybody that they were promoted
I get some will be away, but I honestly don't see many season ticket holders choosing to watch the game on Sky, unless they live a distance away. I certainly think it being on TV, and the price, will put a lot of casual fans off though. I can certainly see it being a good attendance still though.
What a player Dean Gorre was? Driving through the middle is something we seldom see these days at any level.
