    It was a bit tongue in cheek but it's got to be said that Benson has been well looked after by the club and the majority of fans, but the brutal reality is that when his contract ends not many will still want him here.

    he won't get another contract here. he's not daft, he'll know this. the attacks on him are ridiculous though. like he deliberately goes out to injure himself. the lad must be absolutely devastated that his career is being hampered like this.

    His body obviously isn’t up to the rigours of professional football. I think (hope) his contract with us ends next summer. Good luck to the lad but the way things are going I can’t see him getting another contract anywhere. Just too much of a risk for any club.

    He's being paid for being a professional footballer. Part of being a professional footballer is that you can fairly readily be injured. Unfortunately for him he seems to have a body that seems to suffer more than most. Not his fault, certainly not stealing anything though.
