Charlton fans happy to see the back of him. No idea why the majority of fans wanted him back with us this season…..
Yeah, it's just a bit tedious when people post thread titles eluding to a potential player signing for us, only for it to be for someone else.
I am interested to know, is that true that he did poorly at Charlton, and the fans wanted rid of him. I bet he and Slobbo Teddy made a right pair at The Valley.
Bang average keeper, still can't believe Collins didn't get his starting role back that season, miles better keeper than Isted. Duffy messed up and screwed us over with that one a bit.
Again though, that's all down to opinions, and I think Duff did the right thing allowing Isted to finish the season. He was doing really well in the Wembley match as well. Right up until their goal, which was admittedly, very poor keeping!.
So, to sum up, played really well apart from an inability to stop shots going in the back of the net.
Also made a couple of saves that I would have been surprised to see many keepers make. Bet he regrets not moving to us now. Would have been no1 GK last season had he moved and even with Duff gone.
Yeah Sherlock, he made that one mistake yes, which nobody knew was going to happen. I don't know what led to him leaving though, as Brad Collins was going, and he would have been our main keeper.
He was one match from the Championship and thought he could do better than us, but has dropped worse twice since. I bet he regrets knocking us back.
It's why I would love someone like Hammill at the club, to guide the youngsters a bit, grass isn't always greener sort of thing, especially when you're already playing regular here. Whether it would work or not, who knows, but I'm sure we already have coaching staff here with that experience themselves
