Well it isn't 6 weeks. We've got owners who have perpetuated a managed decline, that has been accepted by the fans unfortunately. "We're not a champ club anymore", well we are, the only reason we aren't, is poor owners that won't invest. Every year we've been down in league 1 we get weaker! Thanks to poor owners. We may well go up this season, however there is zero evidence or data to back this up, or suggest that this is down to good leadership. Mate whether you believe it or not, league one is our home until we catch up with the times. The owners imo, have to go. Not good enough
I agree 1,000 per cent!. But we're stuck with them I'm afraid, until we have some other options. As I doubt if there's anybody else wanting to take over. And then we'd want them to run us as a football club again, not merely as a business 'venture', which apparently is how JQ thinks of us.
This is not our level. Unfortunately due to poor management at head coach and ceo levels it’s become our level now. Look at the number of players who have moved on and become premier league players at clubs not that much greater in size than us.
We have the potential of jalo, otherwise we don't have any other forwards at the club. Not one, they're ****.
Cosgrove is turd and inadmissible as a struker Watters in my opinion, just lacks confidence. League football however is a cruel mistress and watters has been eaten up by her.
League one definitely our level nowadays, but a couple of top notch loans and you never know, we might just challenge near the top. I doubt we could afford to buy a top end league one striker, but we could get lucky with a couple of premier league loans.
Watters is poor and we should never haver made his loan move permanent. He has had one ok season for Crawley 4 years ago and done nothing of note before or after that. Cosgrove offers us something different that we have lacked for a while. A target man plus.he does pit himself about and plays like he cares.
Inductive of the people that own us. Got no idea how to run a business, all of them fell into wealth. None with any idea how to run a business. All of them should go, none of them are qualified to be at board level. Speculate to accumulate, only willing to underwrite not invest. As discussed is a losing game. Board out!
Think it’s pretty obvious to all , if the owners don’t copper up or have a fiddle down the back of the sofa and make a serious offer for a decent goal scorer, it could very well be another frustrating season
Go where? You do realise it's not like sacking a manager? We'd need someone willing to buy us, and then be willing to stump up around £5 million a year, just to keep us afloat. So in order to improve upon the current incumbents, we'd need to find an individual or group of individuals willing to put in £10-£15 million of their own money, with no guarantee of any return on their investment. Do you know any such people? Unfortunately, I don't.
It is if you think with that mindset. Our team always and should and always be about punching above its weight otherwise what’s the point?
It is our level. People just don’t like to accept that. Or our level is the bottom of the league above or towards the top of this league. Which is where we’ve finished for a decent chunk of recent history. The board subsidise our existence, to a lesser extent than other owners are willing to (which is the problem!) This is fine by me and the criticism of (basically only) JAQ to me feels unfair. Anything that will make small improvements like having a shirt that more people will buy or having a social club (whilst nice) won’t move the needle in terms of where we are (and things like the social club sound like they are being worked on). we all want to punch up. But there needs to be realism if we can’t.
Yeah I know, its an awful state of affairs. Up until recent years, I'd always thought we were and should again be, a Second Division club (whatever it calls itself). We came close to it with the Wembley match, but then again, what sort of season would we have had back there. I think it would have been in the bottom two or three with Rotherham all season.
Because they’re the exception. We were nearly the exception under Val. I’m not sure I can think of many more exceptions other than Blackpool. And that was ages ago.
We should always try to be the exception- sorry but if you think we aren’t capable of out performing our position then for me then you are part of the problem.
Im not saying we shouldn’t try to be, just we should be realistic. if I’m part of your problem then that’s okay though:
