I’ve watched it loads of times and his arms were by his side. He only lifted his head and got booted. Watch it again mate.

I’m also a bit unsure about what happened at the very start. The bloke seemed to be stood at one of two drinks machines, or similar and was approached from behind by police and his head seemed to go down? Did they push his head into the machine? He certainly seemed to kick off from that point.

Would like to see clearer footage for sure.

I have watched it numerous times.

The reason for the police going to them is that they’d already assaulted some other passengers. After an altercation at the baggage carousel with their mum.

    Opposites indeed.

I think the man was already restrained and dealt with until the policeman decided to enact his own revenge on the person via GBH.

You think committing GBH to someone already on the ground restrained and unable to defend himself or stop the blow is okay.

    Indeed.

So it was OK for that policeman to kick the guy in the head then? That's what you're saying?
Because we're simply saying it's not.
    What's your stance?

I don’t dispute anything that you say, apart from the bit about the guy getting up.

The officer pepper spraying people filming isn’t a good look though, I’m sure we all agree on that.

Get over it. I have a different opinion. It is not GBH in this scenario in my opinion. You think you are right I think I’m right. If you want to cry over it. Go ahead, maybe call Batman to help.

I hope the tribunal sees my viewpoint, I’m sure you hope they see yours. Maybe he should have waited for the guy to get fully up for a fair fist fight…. But then he may have pulled a knife or gun. At least now he goes home to his family, with or without a job.

    indeed.

I don't think he's going to stand back up after being tasered, unless he's the Undertaker from WWF.

Yeah that was working …. Ok. I think my stance is clear. I’m done explaining to people why I think that. Especially people who’ve never been anywhere near a similar situation. This didn’t happen on a street, a threat at an airport is very clear. In most countries we’d be bagging up bodies.

    I’m done. Enjoy your afternoon.

One minute it's picking fights after a dispute at a baggage carousel, the next it's a threat worthy of using lethal force.

They were in the car park leaving the airport, not boarding a plane.

Just looking at that video, it seems the Officer that ‘pushes the head’ is the same one who kicked at the end, machines look like parking ticket machines.

13 punches from two separate assailants. Wow. Guy in blue attacks three different officers.

Yep, I don’t know what’s gone off before, but that initial contact between officers and that one guy seems to have been overlooked by many.

Being man handled from behind (oooo er) by two officers you weren’t expecting, is going to be a shock to the individual.

he’s definitely not, he reminds me of one of those ‘fortune telling fish’ we used to get in lucky bags, just curling up at one end. :)

So in all circumstances where the police rightly or wrongly feel aggrieved they're allowed to use lethal force as payback.
Brilliant. What a fabulous society that would be.

There have to be some limits, otherwise where do we stop? Sexually assaulting prisoners, confiscating stolen goods and and drugs and selling it yourself? The police would be like the mafia, and anyone with any morals would soon leave.

They probably get away with a lot as it is, when it’s not flagged up. Dangerous and inflammatory to allow standards to slip.
