Nothing like the confidence I had in Friendly Soul, but I'm with two today. Enfjaar (1.50) looks like the proverbial Group horse in a handicap. He won cheekily at York and probably has further improvement in him. These Goodwood handicaps are notoriously tricky, and he's only 3/1, but I think he has the most scope of these. The Parthenon (2.25) seems highly regarded at Ballydoyle and has Group 1 and Group 2 entries. I think he has more 'upside' than Electrolyte, who nevertheless boasts some useful form. I'm afraid I've never understood the Galway Festival!
I like Johnny Murtagh’s horse Take Heart in Enfjaar’s race. I watched that York race, I think Take Heart might have won that if it hadn’t have had to run so wide all race and couldn’t get through the pack. It came from the back with a surging run and ran out of steam when it looked like getting a place. Its 14-1 or thereabouts, worth an each way dabble.
Parthenon is out of race 2 Mr Kaht. I can see why youd go for Enfjaar in the first mind. However my picks for what they're worth 1.50 Take Heart - I agree with Fearless Tyke. Looks underrated 2.25 Cool Hoof Luke - improver 3.00 English Oak - again, still improving 3.35 Kyprios - Simply has the best form 4.10 Tatterstall - Good draw and is consistent 4.45 Carados - Looks like best value of market leaders to me 5.20 Queens Reign - Will likely do well on this ground 5.55 Katey Content - Im still convinced there's more to come from this one I think the ground may end up good/good-firm. I have backed to small stakes, and both each way, Tatterstall (6 places on Betfair Sportsbook - currently 15.5 on the exchange) and Queen's Reign (11.0 on the exchange and I've taken 5 places). Overall a tricky day, so as I've said its small stakes for me
It had the feel! Got 9-1 guaranteed odds at lunchtime. Was 14-1 online when I saw it last night, but I haven’t got an online account myself.
Well done. I hope you took heart from that performance. I had second and sixth. I think Crowley had a mare but better in your pocket than bookies.
About time I had some luck. I wondered when its next race was when it ran at York, only saw it last night. They were bigging up the favourite today, and that won the race at York.
I’m not suggesting a wager but my cousins horse runs for first time today. Mr Sky Blue 3.20 Beverley. He’s a bit wild apparently so they’ll be happy if he goes in the stalls !!!! Then again, it’s a poor field so you never know…. He’s a Man City supporter
You'd never be without anything with her. If she's kinda with super boosts next season she could replace Olympia Valance as my avatar.
