Went to Swansea, Regrets leaving Barnsley when he did. We reached out to him apparantly. Then this. Fekk him. He talks with forked tongue. Manager speak at its worst. Full weight lovely person. Rudoni £5.9 m https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/huddersfield-town/transfers/verein/1110
lack of ambition and a fire sale aren’t the reason we didn’t get promoted under Duff. We simply never managed to win from behind and fell off the edge of a cliff at the end of the season. Swansea are a more ambitious club than us, with better players on more money and playing in the Championship, so arguably gave him better tools to work with, yet he wasn’t up to the job.
The game is so broken. What is ambition and how is it expressed? Our owners are pumping in millions to stand still and are criticised for not pumping in more millions. And we are one of dozens, and most make our subsidies look tiny. In any other business, this leads to insolvency. Yet fans, media, broadcasters, players, coaches, sponsors, even the associations (due to weak ineffective governance) all encourage this bankrupt merry go round of a jamboree to get worse every year. The whole thing needs to collapse to allow something with an air of sporting nature to phoenix from its rotting carcass.
Have udders been reckless..? will it all end in tears..? Seems to me your just trying to justify Barnsleys lack of said ambition and spending.. A lot of our money as been wasted, Our club employs more than Barnsley Council these days. If its time to trim our cloth, then there lots of areas that cost the club more with little or no return.
Just out of interest, are there any records of the amount of employees at BFC, to compare with other seasons or even other clubs? j
Happy clappers. Its obvious from incomings and outgoings over the past few seasons we lack ambition. This window has been especially poor
I'm sure Connor Chaplin said something along similar lines and yet MLH gets slated for it. Bizarre! But as I said in my initial post, it seems to be a Barnsley thing that criticism or in this case honesty, particularly from certain former club employees isn't well received! Some people need to get off their high horse!
The bloke had a 10 million quid defence with a keeper who almost finished in top 6 of championship season after with Coventry and still failed to get us up, deciding to play a lad who's highest achievement in his career was playing for Wealdstone in nets and starting Tedic over Norwood. He cost us the final so ******** to him, said after Collins got sack I wouldn't take him back after how he handled us and im certainly glad we haven't got him back now
Id suggest the last couple of seasons it proves we do mate. Amounts of money we got for andersen and kitching, not selling 'first offers we get' like usually accused off, and last season not selling a number of players despite their refusal to sign a new contract with us, had we actually sold them there would he uproar - that's when Cole was even in great form. I could understand why none of the 4 stuck around with the stick they got every week but least we showed ambition and refused them to leave midway through the season
It's fine selling you then have to re invest. We let Cole, kane, Williams and cadden all leave for free none have been replaced. Sold Collins and Walton season before and brought in a season long loan as a replacement. The squads got weaker over the years. Our best hope as a striker this season is that jalo comes of age but at 18 it's a big ask.
Only ones on ‘high horses’ seem to be the ones looking down on their own club and fellow fans for not sharing their point of view. I see the ‘happy clappers’ has been rolled out again as if it’s an illness not to want to criticise the club at every opportunity.
We sold kitching and Anderson and Collins brought in near on 10 million if rumours are believed. We lost 4 key players for nothing, none have been replaced. Sorry that's my opinion.
