Standard stuff from the personality cult. Trumps the victim and ‘theyre after him. Why believe that? Because he says so, and they’re either stupid or in on the grift - there are only two types of MAGA.

just take the bit about attempted assassination - it was actually carried out by a registered Republican, using his Republican fathers weapon.

Trump and will contest the result and try to call his MAGA cult to overthrow the government again. Dangerous times in America and for the future of democracy.

The founding fathers did not set up the country to be a democracy.

It's a constitutional federal republic if memory serves.

Apparently, lots of Republicans think its not a democracy because that is too close to Democrats!

To add context. Those comments were made to the national institute of black journalists.

They went down about as well as you could imagine

Tell you what I've just seen a couple of Harris' recent speeches. He public speaking has come on leaps and bounds. No wonder Trump is terrified of debating her. Comparing her to that disastrous primary run 4 years ago is night and day

The hostage swap was an interesting one after Trump said he could get American hostages released in a day, and only he could do it.

Yes, America has had to hand over its own hostages in return, and they are potentially worse people, but Putin would have demanded something in exchange from Trump anyway. Had Trump been in power, that ‘something’ could be anything.

Some think Putins done the deal as he no longer has faith in Trump getting the presidency back.

Re the race, there’s a long way to go, but I’m getting the feeling most Americans have done with Trump and his crazy’s and are going to overwhelmingly reject him when the time comes.

I think you're judging too much of America by sane European standards. As of right now I still think he wins.

To do that he needs to get his campaign out of freefall. Him and Vance are putting people off left and right. And it's clear Harris and Dems have learnt how to deal with the attacks. Look at how she handled the weirdo black comments. Condemned them, dismissed them, then instead of talking about them she turned it to talk about what she wanted.

If they had the vote now I think he would. It could well be very tight as it's actually decided by such a small (relative the country) amount of people.
Right now the Trump team are a little lost, they wanted to face Biden and were set up to do so. To use the American term, this is a curveball they didn't want.
A lot can happen and the public perception can be swung on the most ridiculous of things.
Remember when labour lost voters based on how the leader ate a bacon sarnie?
If Trump bottles the debate it could swing, or if he does the debate as is embarrassed that could be worse - hence his uneasiness at the prospect.
