Given a new 2 year contract and loaned out to Bradford for the season. obvious we see promise in him, but must be deemed not ready for league one. I thought he looked better than Earl in preseason.
I would have liked to see him play, but I think he will play much more in league 2 so hopefully works out better for both us and him longer term mate.
I'm really disappointed about him being loaned out, but obviously people who know a lot more than I do about football have made the decision. Good luck Jack, I still hope he's got a big part to play at Oakwell in the future.
Good move for him, hes not ready for our first team based on last season’s performances. Also if Earl can get back to playing like he did when he first signed then he will be fine
Where’s it from that he’s gone on loan ? The clubs Facebook post didn’t mention it and the clubs website well that’s on a delay ! Had to read Derby website for a report on last night Ffs yes the post did I need a holiday
On clubs official twitter and on website. Then repeated on various radio stations reporters on twitter
Backwards step to loan him out at a lower level than we did last season. PS: Whoever is no in charge of our clubs X articles keep it like it's always been in that when you click on it you go straight to the article. Recently they have changed it so it only takes you to website homepage when you have to find it yourself.
Great decision. Needs to play 40 games to develop or find out if he’s good enough. League 2 perfect place to do that.
Very happy with this. Shows good recruitment from us to pick him to from a very low level of non-league and then get him to a team challenging at the top end end league 2.
Not really. He started less than 10 league games despite positive reviews. League 2 is a very high standard for him and if he plays regularly it will be a huge positive
Not sure it is. In terms of his progression, playing for a team that isn’t likely to get mullered most weeks to bring him on as a footballer as well as a defender is a good option. New deal shows him he’s wanted, a loan to league two, at 23, having been fitting kitchens for a living 18 months ago - I think it’s all good for his development. He’s 23, not 19 - but he isn’t starting from the same start point as others in terms of the professional game. A full season, hopefully playing week in week out, will be great for him.
A great move for all parties. Top local lad and grafter - great to see. Game time is what he needs to develop, and he’ll get that now. If he can get 25+ games at L2 it’ll be a great help to him. L2 ain’t a walk in the park either, still a very good standard.
Good move that, if he smashes it I'm sure we've got the chance to recall him in January. We'll be needing another left footed centre half now though, having just Earl there is asking for trouble. Hopefully there's something in the pipeline.
Good news i think , We have signed the lad from Mansfield £500000 centre forward Davis Kellor Dunn hopefully the source is correct .
