Every part of Merseyside, Manchester (and most of the country) was on high alert for rioting and disturbance. That hugely limits the ability to move police around the country. This wasn't in the centre of a large city with a huge number of police available to both take on a mob head on and protect vulnerable areas such as the mosque in question which the police built a defensive line around. The mob can rule temporarily in sudden situations like this (see Harehills). But in the end the consequences catch up with the perpetrators. That's before you consider over a decade of police cuts by the Tories that will take years and £billions to undo.
The Tories are so complicit in this that you can't overstate it. I almost hate them more now they're gone.
BRiTish PEAS WHAT HARE GROWED in British FARMS Picked by migrant workers and sold by a company owned by offshore multinational investment funds.
Yes I agree the more you look into events and find reasons for it happening and the lack of law and order it all unfortunately points to anarchy on our streets.
As soon as the police go wading in there'd be an outcry - can't win, and to be fair from the live streams I saw they were mostly kids, as in under the age of 18 for sure.
It always amazes me how many of these right wing idiots cannot grasp the simple basics of the English language, its almost like they are uneducated
no reasonable person would go out smashing and destroying innocent folks property no matter what. The vast majority who are out there are anarchists and scammers jumping on any excuse.
Braverman et al must be absolutely seething. The lengths they've gone to, to try and impose a police state onto liberal and left-leaning protest. Turns out it's their own boot-boys who need it. Whodathunk.
I’d have thought co operating with each other would have been normal practice. But evidently not. Here lies a problem.
