They have just sold a number of players, and I've been chatting with them about their apparent awful financial problems. So how or why are they looking to buy Styles, admittedly on the cheap.
He's been better last few friendly games but fact is he doesn't want to be here, doesn't want to play LWB (which is where we'd need him) and is in final year. If we can get somewhere between 500k and a million for him and use that for DKD it's a great deal for all parties
Is that how it works, though? I thought release clauses were like the "Buy it now" price on an auction listing on Ebay - just an optional way to avoid the uncertainty of bidding.
I like Styles. Seemingly more than most on here. But given he is in his last year and has had 2 previous loans which didn’t result in a permanent deal, I’d be tempted to cash in. Unless of course they are lowballing us like mad. A permanent move would suit all parties at this stage.
Yep. My understanding if the release clause value is met, club have an obligation to tell his agent. Doesn't stop them receiving other offers and reacting accordingly
If we get another bid off WBA northwards of 600k get rid and spend it on a striker which would improve our squad.
End of day he’s had one decent season with us, rest have been mediocre when he has actually played for us, and I think it says a lot that none of teams he played on loan with have bought him. As for him being an international footballer?, afraid to say that is one of life’s mysteries and Hungary must be starved of talent(pardon the pun ha)
I think the 2m was put on him to protect us if he went and smashed it at Millwall which he clearly didn't. Anything around 1m would be great get him off the wage bill best for both party's.
That’s what we were told. But let’s be honest, if we get enough money to pay for Keillor-Dunn we should just accept it and get him off the wage bill.
