We've got tickets for tomorrow. Struggling to find info. It looks like parking is expensive and limited and, it being Sunday, train services are limited, giving us one train from Headingley into Leeds after the match, that gets us into Leeds in time for the last train home. Any parking tips or is there any shuttle bus from Leeds station? It says on the YCCC taking alcohol in is prohibited for The Hundred but doesn't mention any limit on bag sizes or own food other than no water bottles above a litre. Last year's ground info page on The Hundred site said you are welcome to take your own food and drink in but this year that paragraph is conspicuously missing. If anyone has been this year, I'd be grateful of any advice.
If you get there early enough you’ll be able to park on the streets outside - Langdale Avenue and such. It’s sold out though so any time after 5 will be impossible to park. Failing that, head down to Burley Park station and pick a street down there. It’ll be busy though. Don’t forget that this one starts at 6 rather than 6:30. As for food and drink, you should be fine. It doesn’t say don’t bring it in and I can’t see why they would change it for this year.
Park at the nearby park that usually charges for test matches. Wish I was going. Should be better against bottom of the table. Hope you're going for both games. It's annoying how much you see crowds build for the mens game. So many don't bother going to watch the women when they have paid for both.
Park on surrounding streets, every bugger else does! Seriously though, I don’t know how much the prices are to say if it’s expensive or not but you’d be mad to pay much more than, say, a fiver for the convenience when there’s miles and miles of street parking.
It’s not annoying if you factor in that many are not interested in the women’s game, so only go for the men’s. That would include me by the way.
Good stuff. She will be against us but it's always a joy watching Laura Wolvaardt bat. Probably my favourite if I was making a dream team.
Depends how you feel about walking then. I’ve never had to park more than 10 mins away from my house when someone has taken the spot outside my house.
You'll be able to find street parking easily enough, perhaps not in the 'premium spots' with least walking, but even somewhere as far back as Park View Road, next to Burley Park is a better trade off in terms of a walk, rather than paying £15 to park.
I have been to Headingley dozens of times, probably well over 100. These days I always park on or just off Victoria Road, as I know my way around the area well having been a Leeds student! About a 15 min walk but easier to get out after as well. Because you're going to the women's game, you should be able to park anywhere mentioned this thread pretty easily as it won't get as busy until later.
Miss hit it the bad ball when it should have gone for four. Kate Cross looked embarrassed getting it. Excellent innings by Phoebe Litchfield who's the new Meg Lanning who for me is the best ever (although not to much earlier at Lords). Sutherland and Wareham another two brilliant overseas players. The run out Cross got was top draw. Ecclestone needs to look at her captaincy again. She held herself back too long. Lauren Filer is a brill bowler getting mid 70s which is fast in the women's game. Now on to hopefully another Pooran show.
Wins for the men's and women's Northern Superchargers rounds off a fantastic weekend of sport. Next weekend back to the footy season. Bring it on!
