There's a very good Netflix doc which followed him, and other top male and female sprinters, for a year, he really does come out of it well.

British skeet silver medallist was robbed. Why don't they use VAR if there's any dispute. Camera showed as clear as day that she hit that clay pigeon. She took it very well, I'd have been fuming if I'd lost the gold in that way.

I'm noticing a worrying trend here, and yeah ok I know we're all a bit biased for our G.B athletes.
But whether its just coincidence, I've seen a number of fans saying our athletes were robbed/conned in a few different events now!.

Gutted. The minute the commentator started talking about gold with a 17 second lead. I knew we were jinxed.

Exactly, they all played their part, no weak link. The French did so well to get 4th after that bike crash!

Downgraded to bronze following a review of the photo finish.

My first instinct watching the footage on the line was that the USA were ahead, so I was surprised when GB got awarded silver. Terrible officiating to get a review like this so wrong and then mess the athletes around by amending the result. Beth Potter and the others had done TV interviews based on being silver medallists and I think the news only broke just prior to the medal ceremony.

What a fabulous race to watch though. A 3 way sprint to the line with all 3 finishing within a second of each other.

IIRC 7 of the 8 finalists in the mens 100m failed a drugs test during their career...

What’s the rules for crossing the line? Is it any part of your body and does it have to be your head or another part?

Thank you. Seems like that is quite hard to judge even with the photo finish.

Haven't seen the photo from the triathlon, so can't comment on that one, but the one for the 100m final showed a clear gap, despite the time difference between the two being only 0.005s, so they were effectively given the same time when shown in the usual 2 decimal place format.

I'd be surprised if the triathlon one is as close as that, as I had a definite 'naked eye' opinion that the USA had got 2nd from watching the live footage, whereas I genuinely didn't have a clue watching the 100m race.
