The last I read was Muslim Elders had given strict instructions to younger counter protesters that they must leave it to the police and only defend their community as a last resort.

Although I have seen a couple of Sky News clips where some clearly didn’t want the media there.

We’re sat watching the events now all over social media, they’re being filmed live by a chap who i assume is a Muslim, he’s clearly stating that it’s disgusting what’s happening… There’s no if about this. Its fact, its happening, and as we did the other day with the idiots down wath, we also need to condemn what the opposing side are now doing today.

There isn’t two protesting factions, there’s just a group of around 500 Muslims smashing cars up, a pub, a hospital and they’re asking cars a question and seemingly letting some pass, and others are getting smashed up.

Police still nowhere to be seen, this has been going on nearly an hour.

 

Bordesley Green in Birmingham has a white population of less than 10%. When I worked there very briefly nearly 10 years ago, it was pretty lawless tbh, Police rarely ventured in.
Elders have been trying to calm the youngsters down all day.
Rumour has it there was to be an edl demo there tonight, appears they never had any intent to turn up, it was put about to wind up the majority asian population, which sadly seems to have been successful.

 

I started watching bbc but thought they were trying to water it down.

Yeah some guy mouthing off at a gang of Muslim lads (not armed) walking past The Clumsy Swan. Got into a fight with one and then loads jumped in to give him a kicking. Notable that the Asian guy who got into the initial fight was the one protecting the lad when they all piled on and thankfully managed to call them off. Tensions are clearly extremely high... But there was a fight. Not a pub being destroyed.

Heartlands Hospital looks to be where all the far right are gathering and looks like the police are locking down that area. Assume they don't have the numbers to be elsewhere?

The roundabout looks chaotic but that is grainy and hard to decipher. Suggestion on X is that both the pub and roundabout groups are searching for the occupants of a blue car that drove at the crowd.. but that could easily be BS.

 

This all just needs to stop. Regardless of which side, what belief, or what anything. It’s amazing really, because if you sat them all around a table they’d probably realise they’ve got more in common than they think.
