I think he'd rather play in front of thousands more fans, in a four sided ground, with a big core of players who came so close last season. With our Barnsley hat off I think our ground puts some off joining us and it's another rebuild with playing personnel.
Why Bolton over us? Ha ha. We’re nowhere near them in terms of ……we’ll anything really, except alphabetical order.
Am I alone in thinking he was overrated. He was either a 5/10 or 10/10...no middle ground. Had a worse first touch than adebayajo
You're right about the second too. I honestly don't think we can accuse this recent board of showing no ambition. Let's be honest though - more ambition, people just mean more finances.
And Evatt said he wanted 3 or 4 more signings and "recruitment is everything but is extremely challenging" . Not according to several posters on the BBS who say "just add another quarter of a milliln rach time you're knocked back".....
I don't think he's that great. He's committed and he scored some wonderful goals and he's very likeable. But there's another side to his game. The biggest criticism he gets is that he misses easy chances. He does, but I'm not bothered about that. What I am bothered about is how often he loses the ball in the middle third of the pitch and how often that leads to a goal for the opposition. There's no stats for that, but it must have been two dozens times last season. The ball is taken off him or he gives it away and leaves us with no chance of defending, basically gifting the opposition a goal. He's a liability.
Bolton have a bigger ground, bigger fan base and an illustrious First Division and FA Cup history, but that could be bracketed in the same ancient history terms as our other rivals 10 miles down the road. These days they’re no better than us and were very lucky to get to Wembley last May.
