Jesus, don’t know what’s worse. Our fans on twitter when we haven’t made a signing or our fans on twitter when we have. Cringefest.
Beyond pathetic some people. Boo hoo we can’t get anybody. Boo hoo we can’t offer decent money. We’re not signing ……..oh, wait.
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c3gw27vd41yo Hein is an international, highly rated and played against Liverpool yesterday. All sounds good but I remember the last keeper they sent us.
Can't see how Mansfield would wait until after our game. If he wa definitely signing the probably wouldn't play him against us in case he got injured. The could just put as part of the deal that he doesn't play that first game against them
Can just picture us agreeing a deal to take DKD after the Mansfield game, then during that match our section of knobheads give him dogs abuse and he decides to pull out of the deal.
I think the plan is to loan Smith out,he’s a very young keeper and if we loan him out he needs to be playing, long term he will be our first team keeper but not necessarily this season
I'm never a fan of this type of approach, largely because we often struggle to retain players into a second contract so often lose future value in either transfer fees or just straight forward game time benefit. And if you loan a player out for a season, you're essentially running a year off their contract, and at our level paying for the privilege. I'm also not sure what message that also sends to our young keepers coming through the academy.
Would imagine if they are signing on loan for a season the plan/hope would be Smith can step up next year.
Didn't clarke say on the pitch after Derby that he would never comment on any individual before they are signed..? Clarke hasn't given any indication ether way.
He said a keeper deal was very close, could even be today. Then said other deals getting close too, which could refer to anyone including DKD.
He was asked about DKD directly, but as with Gent he refused to comment on that specifically as he wants to remain professional and respectful to other clubs and their players etc.
That's what I'm saying.. how many times does he have to say 'i don't talk about individual transfers before they happen'.. for people to get it..
It’s going to happen every week mate it’s their job to fish for intel Darrell will always stay professional
