Great as highlight reels are would be more interesting to see ones of the goals he’s conceded to give more of a balanced view.
Let's face it though, Roberts made numerous errors towards the end of last season, but previous to that had been really good. All keepers make mistakes. Chelsea must see something in him to have renewed his contract this summer, unless it was simply to try and recoup some money.
Of course. Second half of the season Roberts made his fair share of errors, some real shockers too. All players make mistakes, its part of life. And at this level, players will make a few more than the top level ones as that is why they are at this level. Clearly got something about him to be at Chelsea and have caps at international level.
Bolton have really started chucking some money around in the last week. Almost a million for a lad from Hungary. Jay Matete on loan from Sunderland who's on a fair wage. And Jordan Osei-Tutu from Bochum in the Bundesliga. So that'll be another decent fee and wage, one would imagine. Seems like Mcatee is pretty much done as well. They've invested a lot in Every again this season
So that goalkeeper signing never materialised then, looks like we’re starting the season without a first choice keeper and a second string strike force….brilliant.
Peterborough Chairman has been moaning that Bolton have been trying to sign his best player (his words) and trying get him to push for a move by offering big money.
We’re really struggling to get a keeper we want. We’ve been out priced for a couple of keepers, one hasn’t materialised for one reason or another and one is on too much wages and would rather sit on a bench. As much as Bergstrom is on our list of targets, we’ve definitely missed out on three or four targets further up the list.
Isted had made it known to the club he would be interested in coming back but no one ever got in touch before he agreed a move to Burton.
From Doug’s comments in the chronicle today, sounds like a Prem GK on season long loan incoming today (hopefully) and that talks with Mansfield regards Keillor Dunn have progressed but it’s complicated due to us playing them tonight.
He seems a little more experienced, and has played for the USA (once). Though with Alan Nixon, it could be a case of mistaken identity again, like with the Fleetwood striker we were interested in.
Not sure the standard of the Belgian pro league but I would imagine a full season as no1 with us would be a step up. To be fair we're only had cryptic clues as to who it is I am sure Chelsea have a few Keepers stockpiled In there billion pound set up
